Amalfi Coast Theme Décor: How to Bring Coastal Charm to Your Table Setting
Share
There’s something about the Amalfi Coast that just stays with you. Maybe it’s the sunlight or the slow rhythm of life. Maybe it’s the sound of plates clinking and the smell of lemons in the air. Whatever it is, it feels joyful — never rushed, always full.

That’s what I love to recreate at home. When I put together an Amalfi Coast theme, it’s not about making things perfect — it’s about setting a table that feels alive, colourful, and full of warmth.
1. Begin with a Fresh Canvas
Start simple. A cloth that reminds you of sea and sky. I often go for my Chambray Stripe Blue Tablecloth — it has that fresh, coastal look that makes the table feel light and easy. Nothing too formal, just a good base to build from.

If you’re curious about this look, our Amalfi Collection has a few of my favourites. Every piece brings a little bit of that Italian sunshine — blue stripes, lemon motifs, soft textures. It’s like summer, in table form.
2. Add Natural Layers
Here’s where it starts to feel warm and grounded. I like to layer textures — seagrass placemats, woven chargers, maybe even a basket or two. They give that “by the sea” feel, but with heart.

In some of our recent table setups, you’ll notice the mix: soft linen against glass, bright lemons beside natural fibre. It’s not staged. It’s relaxed — the kind of table you can actually sit around and enjoy.
3. Let the Lemons Steal the Show 🍋
If there’s one thing that defines an Amalfi Coast theme, it’s lemons. They make everything brighter. I don’t overthink it — I just grab a bowl, fill it up, and place it right in the centre. Sometimes I toss a few around the table or tuck one beside each napkin. It looks unplanned but happy.

It’s funny how something so simple can bring so much life to a setting.
4. Add a Few Mediterranean Touches
The beauty of this style is that it tells a story through little things. Patterned napkins, vintage-style glasses, a few ceramic pieces — nothing too matched or perfect. I like when every piece feels collected over time.

Soft blue and white are the heart of it, but a little coral, gold, or sage green never hurts. Then, as the light fades, I always bring out a few candles. The glow does something lovely — everything softens, conversations linger. You can find some of my favourites in our candle collection.
5. Finish with Heart
For me, it’s never just about looks. It’s about how the table feels once people are gathered around it. So I add the small things — a stack of patterned coasters, a deck of playing cards, maybe a folded tea towel near the bread basket.

Little touches like that make it feel lived in — like home.
A Little Slice of Amalfi at Home
You don’t need to live by the coast to bring its charm to your table. A few lemons, a touch of blue, the right cloth, and a table full of stories — that’s all you need.

Because the heart of the Amalfi Coast theme isn’t the décor — it’s the feeling. And when your table is filled with laughter, light, and the people you love, you’ve already got it right.
